PACKAGING

Our many years of experience in shipping glass have taught us the value of good packaging techniques. Outlined below are what we believe to be the most efficient packaging methods and materials available for safely shipping gage and sight glass products. Often it becomes necessary that we pass along a nominal charge for certain packaging when required.  To review our packing methods and charges click here.

Duran Standard Tubular Gage Glass Packaging is a single corrugated cardboard carton with burst strength of 275 pounds. Standard package quantity is 12 pieces of the same size. Foam inserts isolate each piece of glass. This type of package has been transit tested by the National Safe Transit Association and has proven to provide ample protection for the glass. This type of packaging can accommodate ½, 5/8", and 3/4" diameter tubular gage glass up to 48" long.

TGR Standard Six-Pack Tubular Gage Glass Packaging is a single corrugated cardboard carton with burst strength of 275 pounds. Standard package quantity is six pieces of glass. Foam inserts isolate each piece of glass and provide ample shipping protection. This type of packaging can accommodate ½", 5/8", and 3/4" diameter tubular gage glass up to 48" long.

U-Board Bulk Pack Tubular Gage Glass Packaging is recommended for larger quantities, lengths exceeding 48 inches, and boxing requirements not met by standard packaging. It is constructed of double wall, laminated cardboard with a thickness of .200 inches formed in a u-shape and treated with a coating to provide moisture resistance. Two u-board sections are used for top and bottom with wood ends-blocks. This forms a "crate" with extraordinary strength.
