Low-pressure sewer systems are ones in which a grinder or effluent pump moves residential sewage through relatively small diameter pipes (1-1/2" to 4"). A low-pressure system discharges waste streams into a major lift station or directly to treatment. Pumps are available in package designs which include pump, electrical control panel, fiberglass basin, coverand float switches.
Low-pressure sewer projects are used in areas thatrequire central sewers(prohibit on-site treatment) where it not possible or not feasible to install a gravity-flow system. These areas include rocky ground, near lakes, hilly areas and simply great didtances from metropolitan systems. Gravity sewer designs use larger diameter (4” and greater) pipestoallow sewage to flow to a major lift station or directly to tr eatment. T.G. Rankin Company utilizes years of experience and multiple product selection to allow homeowner, developer, architect and engineer to evaluate several pump, basin and control options. Pumps such as the Liberty Omnivore and the new Milwaukee HGP-2 high head series, Marlow, Ebara, ABS, Hydromatic, and Barneswith horsepower ranging from 2 -15 are available with flows maximums of 180 GPM and heads reaching 285’. T.G. Rankin Co. stocks several models of grinder pumps models for new construction and replacement.Using out extensive inventory of parts and accessories at our St Louis and Kansas City facilities, our people will help youget the job done right.Call us to discuss your next project.
