Tubular Gage Glass Accessories
Glass Cleaning Brushes are constructed of 14 gauge steel wire with 5 inches of Nylon bristle brush at one end. They are stocked in several convenient lengths from 24" - 72" . The brushes are handy for use in cleaning away build-up, which can accumulate inside tubular gage glass.
Gage Glass Cutters are essential for cutting that “odd-length” which always seems to be required.
Easy Roll Multipurpose Cutter for ½” through 1” outer diameter glass, works best when placed on a bench or table. You press the cutter-wheel against the glass with the heel of your hand and rotate the glass to make a score. (About half way around the tube or less works best.) Grab both ends of the glass and pull it apart. Moistening the score before pulling will produce a cleaner cut. (Always wear eye protection)
Squeeze and Pop cutters are chain-type made from carbon steel. One model has plastic coated handles giving a better grip surface. To use the Squeeze and Pop cutter simply wrap the chain around the glass tube, hook the nearest chain pin to the jaw. Give a quick twist to the glass while squeezing the handles and…pop! The Squeeze and Pop cutter can cut off shorter pieces than the Easy Roll cutter. (Always wear eye protection)
Gage Glass Washers typically made of rubber elastomer, are used to seal the glass tube against the metal valve body. In addition to OEM parts from the variousl valve manufacturers, TGR stocks a variety of styles and sizes for fast shipment.

Square-Cut Washers for tubular glass liquid level gages are stocked by the thousands in three sizes. These are the most commonly used on liquid level gages. Made from a Neoprene Rubber composition which has a maximum temperature rating of 300F.
Marvel Washers for tubular glass liquid level gages are stocked in over 50 unique sizes. They are designed to make a positive bubble-tight seal with a minimum of torque. Made of EPDM they are safe for prolonged use at 300F in steam, water, oils ammonia and many other chemicals.
Custom Washers for tubular gage glass in various materials and sizes are available on request. Please specify the desired inner diameter, outer diameter and thickness along with the quantity. The materials include Viton, Teflon, EPDM, Buna-N and Graphite.
Transparent Tubular Gage Glass Protection is available for all styles and lengths of gage glass. We apply a PVC or FEP “coating” to the outside wall of the glass. This provides an extra margin of impact resistance. If broken the glass is held together by the coating only weeping or dripping. This allows time to shut down the valves to replace the glass. This minimizes costly or hazardous product dumping. PVC protection can withstand temperatures up to 220F. FEP can go to 400F. Gage Glass with Transparent Protection applied will easily fit most tubular liquid level gage valves. The addition of extermal polymer potection does not increase the pressure rating of the gage glass tubing.
